Make sure this is sorted and you have all you need in place a few weeks before race day. This will include:

  • Running Shoes: Choose a pair that you’ve trained in, but not too much they are worn out! They need to suit your gait and provide proper support and comfort.
  • Moisture absorbing clothing: Opt for a lightweight, breathable fabrics that will not only keep you dry but comfortable throughout the race. Again worn and run in beforehand.
  • Compression Gear: Compression socks or sleeves can aid in circulation and muscle recovery.
  • Hat or Visor: Protect yourself from the sun and keep any sweat out of your eyes as well as saving energy and keeping facial muscles relaxed.
  • Race bib and timing chip: Don’t forget these essential items, you’re going nowhere without them !!

First Aid Kit: Pack basic first aid supplies like adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes and pain relievers for any minor injuries or discomfort

Emergency Contact Information: Keep a card with emergency contact information just in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Race Map and Directions: Make sure you know exactly where youre starting and be aware of what drop off areas are available on the day. Also plan items that you plan to leave with spectators.

Mobile: For communication and emergencies. Ensure it's fully charged before the race, you also may want your run playlist handy!

Cash or Credit Card: Have some money on hand for emergencies or purchases along the way.

Post Race Clothing: Pack a change of clothes and definitely comfortable shoes to ease the post-race recovery.
